The Archaeologist (/warp archaeologist)
The Archaeologist is a NPC located at the spawn area, serving as your guide on an exciting journey to uncover rare fossils and ancient relics. These valuable items can be found while digging through red sand, sand and gravel using tools enhanced with the new Fossil Finder enchantment.
Starting Your Adventure
Enchanting Tools: Visit The Archaeologist in spawn to enchant your existing heirloom shovels with the Fossil Finder enchantment.
Archaeologist Shovels: Alternatively, purchase one of the two special Archaeologist Shovels, designed specifically for fossil excavation.
Quests and Rewards
Begin your archaeological adventure with three introductory Quests:
Quests: These initial quests are designed to familiarize you with the new fossil-finding system.
Rewards: Completing these quests grants Moonstones, Crystals, a Ruby, and the exclusive "DINO" title.
The Archaeologist also offers a variety of trades and exchanges for the fossils and relics you collect. These tasks are infinite and repeatable, allowing you to grind for exclusive pets, cosmetics, heirlooms, currency, and artifacts.
Dinosaur Pets
Nineteen dinosaur pets are available to be unlocked at The Archaeologist. These pets range from gentle herbivores to fearsome carnivores, ensuring there's a dino buddy for every player.
These pets help you during combat.
