Towns / Land Claim

Use /town help in-game to view town commands. This page covers the main commands and systems players need for creating, joining, and managing towns.

How do I create a town?¶

Create a town with /town create <name>.

After creating a town, stand in the chunk you want to claim and use /claim. Claims are chunk-based. Press F3 + G to view chunk borders.

After claiming your first chunk, use /town setspawn. This lets members return with /town spawn.

Town upgrades are paid from the town bank. Deposit money with /town deposit <amount>, then use /town level to upgrade the town.

Higher town levels increase claim/member limits and improve town bonuses such as crop growth and spawner rates.

Town Level Discounts¶

Town level costs are reduced based on active town members. An active member is a player who has logged in within the last 14 days.

Town Claims¶

Claims protect land for your town. To claim the chunk you are standing in, use /claim. To remove a claim, use /town unclaim.

Use /town map to view nearby town claims.

Creating a Plot for Players to Use¶

To make or manage a town plot, stand inside the claim.

Use /town plot to turn a normal town claim into a plot.

Add a player to the plot with /town plot add <player>. Remove them with /town plot remove <player>. View plot members with /town plot list.

Players added to a plot can build inside it. The player does not have to be a town member.

To let someone manage the plot, use /town plot add <player> manager.

Public Plots and Plot Sales¶

Town leaders can make plots available for other players to claim.

Money from paid plot claims goes into the town bank.

Town Farm Claims¶

Stand inside a town claim and use /town farm to turn it into a farm claim.

Town members can place and break farm blocks, interact with mobs, use containers, and work with crops inside farm claims. They cannot build or break most normal structures there.

Crop growth and mob spawner rates in farm claims scale with town level.

Public Towns and Town Board¶

A public town can be discovered and joined without a manual invite.

To make a town public, use /town public on. To close it again, use /town public off.

Public towns should have:

• A town spawn set with /town setspawn
• At least one free resident slot or one available public plot

Players can browse public towns at the Town Board at spawn or use /townboard.

To join a public town directly, use /town public join <town>.

Town RTP¶

/town rtp teleports you to a random available plot in an eligible public town.

/town rtp -autojoin joins the town before teleporting you to the plot.

Town RTP only uses towns that are public, open to join, and have an available plot.

Customizing your town¶

You can change how your town appears to other players.

Inviting New Members¶

Invite a player with /town invite <player>. Players can only be invited if they are not already part of another town.

Players who are not town members can still be added to individual plots.

Town Chat¶

Use /town chat <message> to send a private message to town members.

Promoting Town Members¶

Use /town promote <member> and /town demote <member> to move members through the town rank hierarchy.

You cannot promote or demote players with an equal or higher town role than yourself.

Town Ranks¶

Mayor - town owner with full town control.

Assistant - co-mayor role with access to most town management commands, except renaming and disbanding the town.

Trusted - management role for trusted members. Can manage plots, town settings, claims, flags, evictions, and promote members below their own rank.

Builder - can build and break blocks across town land. Also inherits Recruiter permissions.

Recruiter - can invite players to the town. Also inherits Resident permissions.

Resident - default town member role.
